Spiritual Wellbeing

For the past week, we have been learning about spiritual wellbeing.
Spiritual wellbeing is about your identity, your values, religion, self-awareness, and so on. We were learning about what we describe ourselves as or what we like. We also talked about our likes and dislikes.

A task we did

From the values you chose, write about the two that are most important to you
Fairness
Teamwork

Why is this value important to you?
I find that treating others evenly is important.
It's important to work with your group and help each other out.

Recall a moment in your life when you really ‘lived’ this value.
When I was playing softball in 2014. Our team was making sure everyone was having a turn in batting.
When in a class project. We were working together and sharing our opinions freely.

If this value is not being respected by others, how might you feel or react?
I would feel a bit upset. It’s not right to treat others as if they are more special than others.
Teamwork is important. It shows our respect for others.

Learning Reflection Health

Whare Tapa Wha is about Health. It teaches us that in order to have a balanced lifestyle we have to include Taha Tinana (Physical well being) Taha Whanau (Social Well Being) Taha Wairua (Spiritual Wellbeing) and last but not least Taha Hingenaro (Mental/Emotional Well being).

In my group, I think I participated quite well with our project. I contributed by filling out what Taha Tinana (Physical Welling) is about. Next time I would like to give some examples of how to look after your physical health.

I found it challenging when we were trying to construct our whare. I coped with the challenge by just trying different solutions. I worked well with my group. I found that we were able to support one another with each of our categories. Next time I would most likely give better feedback for the group when they ask for it.

Resilience in Business

I learnt that resilience is very important especially in a business environment. You need to adjust to changes easily. You need to be able to give new things a chance and not giving up easily on challenges. My favourite quote connected to resilience is
" Resilience is accepting your new reality, even if it's less good than the one you had before."

It was difficult to understand information about the who moved my cheese video because I thought that it wasn't the best way to teach us about resilience. In parts of the video, I got confused on what was actually happening.
The video "Who moved my cheese?" is about two humans going through sudden changes, they have to readjust to the changes and move on although it may be difficult. It taught me that changes can come out of nowhere, it may not be for the best but you have to get over it and move on.

Resilience will help me with the business Kete because this subject has taught me that you have to work hard to overcome challenges and that its worth it in the end.
